A Brief History of Hôtel du Parc
Hôtel du Parc, built in the charm of the 19th century, was the essential place of Vichy's chic in the 20th century. Initially, its 250 rooms were there to pamper wealthy spa guests, with a high-end restaurant, reception rooms, and even luxury shops like Louis Vuitton and Van Cleef & Arpels!
Then the story takes an unexpected turn with Marshal Pétain and Pierre Laval making it their residence from 1940 to 1944. Pétain made it his headquarters until August 20, 1944. The third floor, where the marshal resided, has since transformed into a quirky "museum," preserving memories of this extraordinary historical period
The apartment is located on the 1st floor of the residence, accessible by an elevator.
